Important Elements of Graphic Design

Important Elements of Graphic Design

Graphic designing  is the art of combining or adding images, text and ideas to create a design that draw the viewer’s attention to a specific message. Because artists are constantly faced with how to do that, they come up with a variety of ideas and strategies to keep their work organized and effective.

Design elements are best understood as the building blocks of any project. Even the most sophisticated portfolio of paintings can be broken down into basic elements such as lines, shapes and fonts. In the meantime, design principles – sometimes called “artistic terms” —are rules that help define and control how objects interact, with their content, and with their audience. While both design elements and design principles are important concepts you should be aware of. Important graphic gesign elements are :-

  1. Line

Lines, in the construction of images, can be used for a variety of purposes: to link content, to stress a word or phrase, to create patterns etc. Lines can be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, circular, pattern, solid or free form. They are used as a road map to guide the movement of the viewer’s eye. When using trees, for example, vertically, there is no movement by the viewer. On the other hand if you have trees curled up in a corner this will make the viewer feel the movement and the feeling of movement.

  1. Shape

Shape is the second most important element in web design. They are actually lines connected in different ways. Shape are still popular and this is because if something needs to be highlighted, Shapes are one way to do it. Shapes are also reffered as forms in language fo graphic design.

There may be circles, squares, rectangles, triangles or free hand shapes; most designs include at least one of these. Some designs use it a lot, because they are usually based on paintings and drawings.

The old style of Graphic designing company incorporates shapes too, so they remain relevant all the time and may continue to be so.

  1. Color

Color can be a useful tool to communicate with the spirit or to evoke emotional response from your viewer. Color vision and color wheel provide a practical guide for artists who want to choose one color or combine many colors in a harmonious – or deliberately harmonious way.

  1. Texture

The textures may look like solid background colors, but when analyzed closely, small but effective differences can be seen.

Texture styles include paper, stonetype, concretes, bricklike, fabric and natural elements, among flat or smooth colors. textures can also be hidden or pronounced and can be used sparingly or freely. They work with everything very beautiful.

While it may not seem important, texture can completely change design and give a completely different look effect.

  1. Space

Space is an important part of a graphic designing. It can provide a

breathable design, enhance its visual impact, balance heavy visual effects, and emphasize images or messages for viewers to be remembered. Without enough space, the design seems to be too crowded for your audience to understand.

Space help in separate objects or link them. The small space between the visuals indicates that it has a strong relationship, and the wide space indicates that it is not closely related. When you surround a tangible object with space, you emphasize its importance, but space can also promote alonely and isolation.

These are the basic things a creative graphic designer should know about. Having this knowledge will allow you to think more focused on the user and design with a better style. If you are thinking of hiring a graphic designer then you must test these elements.
